memories of the yappy wankers

it's so hard to label some onion articles as more brilliant than others but this one strikes a particular cord for me. ahhh - remember the days, Tim Canterbury? all the times that the guy in the front row wearing either a) a hat that looks like the bastard love child of a cowboy's gear and crocodile dundee's chapeau b) all black and a velvet cape c) ill-fitting and likely tapered pants or d) all of above would decide to carpe diem! and enlighten all of us mere mortals on the True perspectives of derrida and hegel...decide to let us taste the brilliance of his regurgitation of his newly appointed post-modernist-genius-du-jour; allow us to marvel at the beauty of his eloquent diction/mangled mess that reeked of equal parts unabashed plaguarism and last night's stale draft beer in a just-so-shabby-watering hole down the lane; salute with awe his confidence and assurance in his unwavering insight that he should repeat the same inane and semi-coherent misused-jargon-filled points two or three times without addressing even tangentially the topic the rest of the class had been debating.

did it matter if his head was so far up his gothic/80s jeans-covered ass he was in imminent danger of losing his 'study in thrift-shop' head covering. no. he was willing to risk it. for the good of us - nay, for the good of humanity.
