after one week...analysis

in the last week here, i have:

• become so ill that i lost control of all of my bodily fluids and had to go to a hospital to get a needle in my ass cheek that was so large, i think it quite likely that it was actually a bone marrow remover. so i hope some lucky chinese kid is surviving due to my sacrifice. keep fighting, timmy. the nurse actually laughed at me since i was trying to be so tough - 'no, no, needles...i love 'em. give me six' after squirming around for several minutes on the hospital bench because while she was trying to indicate where she wanted to give me a needle, i thought she wanted me to do a little seated bum-dance. when she actually drew her weapon and sheathed it into my now naked and limbered-up bum cheek, i sucked air like it was going out of style. which in taipei, it actually kind of is. i don't know what was in that saber-needle but man, did it make me pass out. if tim canterbury hadn't of been here, it's very likely i would have drowned in my bathtub. csi would have had a field day when the injection site. everyone please pray for timmy.
• i also lost my travelling partner. tim canterbury decided this asia gig is just not for him. i think the hello kitty toilet paper got him. just kidding - or am i? that's one of those jokes i think will turn out to be more of a premonition than i would hope. yeppers...tim and i are both flying solo now. he's on his way back to canada as we speak and i am going to stay out the year. schniff. it was a hard goodbye and i will feel a lot better once i finish our knitted his and hers chastity belts. it's the new big thing.
• other news: i can now mangle two or three phrases in mandarin and am honing my pointing skills to an absolutely marvelous level. i may qualify for the next foreigner olympics. you must go to our other blog to see just what that means.

four more days in our hotel and then i'm released on taipei. i think i'm [gulp] ready for it. i still don't have a phone but i'm working on it. emails and smoke signals are appreciated. more soon...
